St. Michael Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do, thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into hell satan and all of the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Glory to God in the Highest!

Divine Mercy Sunday: Jesus, I Trust in You!

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is to be recited using ordinary rosary beads.

Opening Prayer (to be prayed on the first large bead of the rosary)

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and an ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.  O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

Response: O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!  (Repeat 3 times.)

On the three small introductory beads:
Pray one Our Father, One Hail Mary, and one Apostles' Creed

On the large beads:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ,

Response: in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world

On the 10 small beads, repeat:

For the sake of His sorrowful passion,

Response: Have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Repeat the above for each of the 5 decades.

End with:

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
(Repeat 3 times.)

Closing Prayers:
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself.  Amen.

Jesus, I trust in You.  (Repeat 3 times.)
Mother of Sorrows, Pray for us.
St. Faustina, Pray for us.
