Other than the sound of rain hitting the windows, there is a quiet that is near silence. Pixie sleeps soundly on my bed. Fred, the cat, rests on the window sill, ready to pound Pixie into obedience if she moves. Right now, though, he’s quiet and enjoying the rain. Marvin sleeps on his pillow on the love seat. My daughter sleeps silently in her bed. The low light relaxes me, too, and I think of my blessings. I am blessed, and this moment fills me with gratitude. Graces, like rain, pour down from heaven and into my heart. God is good.
