Decorating the Church for the holidays is a chore, but it is a chore of love.
We see flashes of color as JoAnn and Shirley race around,
directing us on what needs to be done.
The materials are out,
and our creativity is challenged.
Space must be used properly.
Materials must be used respectfully.
So,
we work.
We suggest.
We modify.
We stop.
We view.
We take pictures.
We want to see the Church as others see the Church.
It is a beautiful Church, but once the decorations come out,
it is even more beautiful!
I wish you could see it today.
Absolutely AMAZING!
Yesterday, as we worked, Jesus watched us work.
He gazed on us as we worked to make His Church more beautiful.
He was in the tabernacle hearing us, watching us, inspiring us.
I could almost hear Him saying,
"Thank you. Look at what you've done to My Church! It's beautiful! You're beautiful! I love you all for what you've done."
In the end, we were tired, dirty, and overcome with the beauty.
Thank You, Jesus, for being with us. Thank You for inspiring us. Thank you for loving us.
The Church is ready. Jesus is still there. He waits for us. He loves us. He's there for all of us.
Oh, Come let us adore Him!
Amen.
