The setting sun turned the sky above it red, orange, blue, purple, and yellow. The colors pierced her heart like swords full of painful memories. She didn’t mind being alone. She liked that. She hurt from the rejection, again. Some things never change.
She remembered the total acceptance of another place. She was unique in a field of flowers that were the same here. There she was treasured for being unique. For being a daughter of God who was different. Here, different was wrong instead of just being different.
The same person. Different place. She smiled and thanked God for those memories. He was with her, no matter where she was. She was cherished by Him. He smiled at her.
Life would never be dull! She laughed and ate her popcorn.
