Our Church celebrates the birth of Our Lady on September 8th. Different days have been celebrated through the centuries, but September 8th is exactly 9 months from the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
Anne and Joachim were good people, but their lack of children broke their hearts. A couple who was childless was considered to be punished by God for something they did. Even in their old age, they longed for a child.
God tests those He loves, and He brings glory to those whom He has tested.
Anne, who was long beyond the age of child bearing, conceived
Mary, who would become the Mother of God.
God poured His Blessings upon the couple!
Today, we remember Mama Mary's birth.
We praise and thank God for this gift.
Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,
We thank you and we praise you for the gift of the
Woman Clothed with the sun!
She will crush the head of satan.
We rejoice and we praise You,
our Blessed Trinity!
We thank you!
Amen!
