St. Michael Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do, thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into hell satan and all of the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Glory to God in the Highest!

Angel of God,
My Guardian Dear,
To Whom God's love
Entrusts you here.
Ever this day/night,

    to protect you."

I Am Changing!

"So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure,  because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4: 16-18

 I Am Changing!

One day He asked me to open my heart to Him.
By His grace, I did.
Since then,
my life has not been the same.
He has taken me and changed me.
He has moved my heart so that I cannot be the same.
He has opened my eyes.
 I see the world as
I couldn't see before.
Colors and shapes,
perfect in nature.
Life flows into death
within the silence of the tomb,
raw and free.
The whisper of silent wings.
 floating over my garden
thunder in my ear.
He has led me through the valley of death,
and brought me to His Heart.
He has held me strong in the palm of His Hand.
My name is carved there!
He sends His angels to guard me.
I am being restored.
I am changing!
Nothing will ever be the same again.
I am changed!

  I am Changing!

Part 1 of the series: Women of the Bible I would like to meet.

Of course, first on my list of women from Sacred Scripture that I would like to list is:

Our Mother Mary.

I think, other than the Trinity, I would love to meet her.
I would like to sit down and have a glass of iced tea with her and some cookies.
I don't know if she likes coffee, but I don't, so I didn't include that in my list of questions for her.

I'd love to sit under and olive tree with her and feel the the warm breeze on our faces.
I would love to sit and pray with her.
Perhaps, even an angel might visit?

I have so many questions for her.

Here's what I would like to learn.

Were you afraid?

Did St. Gabriel surprise you?

What did St. Gabriel look like?

How did you talk your parents into allowing you to go visit Elizabeth and Joachim?

How did you feel when you saw Elizabeth?

How did you feel when Elizabeth told you that her baby kicked when he recognized your Son?

Were you even in more awe of God?

Did you help to deliver John?

Traveling must have been difficult for you, how did you do it?

When you got home, how did your parents react when they found out they were going to be grandparents?

Were they upset or did they welcome your new baby?

Was your pregnancy with Jesus, an easy one?

Did you get morning sickness?

What did Joseph say when you told him you were having a baby?

Were you afraid that he might reject you and your baby?

When you became Joseph's wife, did you have a big wedding?

Did all the villagers attend your wedding?

What was your life like as a woman 2000 years ago?

You and Joseph were required to go to Bethlehem.  Were you afraid when you and Joseph had to leave?

You must have been in labor when you found a stable to give birth to the Son of God.  Was this humiliation for you?

Was Jesus a good baby?

Did he sleep the night early or did he keep you awake?

How did you feel when the shepherds came to visit?

How did you feel when the wise men came to visit?

When you returned home, did the ladies of the village coo and kiss Jesus?

Was Jesus a beautiful child?

Did He have fun with the other children in the village?

Did he play with his friends or did he work with Joseph?

Did you see angels around your Son?

Did you talk with angels about your Son?

How did the village react to your Son?

Was Jesus tall?

Was he popular in the village?

Did He go to dances and parties in the village?

Did he have a pet?

What was Jesus' favorite food that you made?

Did Jesus help you cook in the kitchen?

Did you pray as a family daily?

Did you absolutely adore Your Son?

Blessed Mother, thank you for answering my questions.

I hope to meet you in heaven and sit with you under a tree,

drink some special tea,

and

listen to what you have to say.

Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje to Mirjana Soldo, October 2, 2014

"Dear children! With motherly love I implore you, love one another. May there be in you hearts, as my Son desired from the very beginning, love for the Heavenly Father and for your neighbor in the first place - above everything of this world. My dear children, do you not recognize the signs of the times? Do you not recognize that all of this that is around you, all that is happening, is because there is no love? Comprehend that salvation is in true values. Accept the might of the Heavenly Father, love Him and honor Him. Walk in the footsteps of my Son.

You, my children, my dear apostles, you are always gathering around me anew, because you are thirsty. You thirst for peace, love and happiness. Drink out of my hands. My hands are offering to you my Son who is the spring of clear water. He will bring your faith back to life and purify your hearts, because my Son loves pure hearts and pure hearts love my Son. Only pure hearts are humble and have firm faith. I ask for such hearts of you, my children. My Son told me that I am the mother of the entire world. I ask of those of you who accept me as such to help me, with your life, prayer and sacrifice, for all of my children to accept me as a mother - so that I may lead them to the spring of the clear water. Thank you.
My dear children, as your shepherds offer you the Body of my Son with their blessed hands, always in your hearts give thanks to my Son for the sacrifice and for the shepherds that He always gives you anew."

7 Quick Takes This Week: Finding God in the Everyday

From the photos I post on Facebook, most people have come to believe that Pixie is always laying down.
Remember, she's a former racing greyhound who is now a therapy dog.  She's done her share of running!
Today, I posted this photo of Pixie as we were taking our morning walk.
Now, there are believers out there now.
She really does stand and walk or trot.

This makes me think of how blessed we are  by Jesus to have not seen him and yet, we believe.

"Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
John 20:29

I joined a charm exchange sponsored by
We each send in 11 charms.
Jennifer  puts together packages of 10 charms and sends them to each person who entered the exchange.
The 11th charm is auctioned off with all the proceeds going to benefit
This the button that was designed for the exchange.
(Beads of Courage is an organization that helps children with serious illnesses tell their stories with beads.)

"Jesus said, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto Me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Matthew 19: 14

Due to a serious illness in the family,
and I would ask for your prayers,
we have been spending a lot of time in the clinic of the hospital.
I have been so touched by the kindness and compassion of those who serve there.
As hurried and busy as everyone is,
from the doctors to the those who clean and sweep,
I have seen and felt their compassion toward those who are ill and their families.

Thank you, Sweet Jesus, Divine Healer, for this gift.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy."
Matthew 5: 7

Yesterday was the Feast of our Guardian Angels.  I find it AMAZING that God loves us to much that He has given us our own spiritual being to love us, to protect us, and guide us in our ways.

I am anxious to see my guardian angel.  I'm sure he will have gray hair from all the stress that he had to endure protecting me, guarding me, and guiding me.

Thank You, Lord, for this gift of my own angel!

"For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways."

Psalm 91:11

I was very blessed to win a scholarship to an online class that teaches how to make those very special and beautiful beads out of polymer clay.

These are just a couple of the beads that I have made.

Research taught me that
St. Luke is the patron saint of artists,
and
St. Catherine of Bologna is the patron saint of
art.

I love to invoke the patron saints!
Never forget the
Holy Spirit, though.

He is the inspiration.

Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
    we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand.

Isaiah 64: 8

 --- 6 ---

I met a woman of great faith in a thrift store.
She stopped me and we began to talk.
She told me that her apartment building was being demolished and that she was going to a hotel to live.
She told me that God was on her side and that she wasn't afraid.
She said, "God is there.  It's all in His Hands."
She said that we all have to be tested.
She told me, "You're being tested right now."
How she knew that I don't know.
She told me how she had been raped by a man, but he didn't kill her, even though he was wanted for murder.
She invoked God as she was being violated.
She told me, "Stay strong.  You're being tested.
I'm being tested again."
In spite of her trials, she was joyful!

I think I met a saint yesterday!

"Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."
James 1:12

 October celebrates the
Respect for Life Program
initiated by the
Council of Catholic Bishops

Our culture has forgotten that the gift of life is a
Gift from God
at any stage in a human being's developmen.

October also celebrates the feast day of
Our Lady of the Rosary
on October 7th.

Pray a Rosary daily for peace and the Respect for Life campaign.

"For it was you who formed my inward parts;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works,
that I know very well.    My

frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes beheld my unformed substance.
In your book were written
all the days that were formed for me,
when none of them as yet existed. "

Psalm 139: 13-16

May Peace and Love be ever yours!
See you next week!
