To Love the Unlovable. To Pardon the Unpardonable. G.K. Chesterton

Francesco de Zurbaran - "Christ on the Cross"
"To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable."
G.K. Chesterton

This is the Divine Mercy of God.

For though we are unlovable,
we are loved.

For though we are unpardonable,
we are pardoned.

Therefore, we are entrusted to love  all
and
 forgive all.

This is
 Divine Mercy.

To those whom we believe are unlovable,
we must awaken love in our hearts for them.
Through this love for the
"unlovable"
we realize that they are lovable in God's eyes.
(And, they are.)

To those whom we believe are unpardonable,
we must pardon,
because we are all unpardonable but for the love of God.
(And we are.)

The Mercy of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
is the gift of love and forgiveness intertwining so that one cannot exist without the other
and remembering that if
God ceased to love us,
we would not be,
but God chooses to love us,
He chooses to forgive us,
and
His Mercy flows out to humanity
who can accept or reject this gift.

Divine Mercy!
Divine Love!
